Cornwall to grasp economic opportunities from tough new European climate targets

A delegation from the Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP) will be taking a Cornish perspective on how to achieve a sustainable low-carbon economy to the corridors of European power in Brussels next week.This high-level trip follows on from Wednesday’s European Commission announcement which detailed a raft of policy measures designed to take EU member states towards a sustainable future.

Cornwall Energy Partnership Greets Inevitable Nuclear Power Announcementwith Scepticism

Yesterday’s Nuclear Power announcement by Secretary of State John Hutton has been greeted with scepticism by the award winning Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP). It is the very same minister who, in the Autumn, was recommending to Gordon Brown that the UK should renege on European Renewable Energy Targets. However, within weeks the Prime Minister was announcing that the UK will meet its target of 20% renewable energy by 2020.
