The Government has called for a local government response to the Sustainable Procurement Action Plan by 30 June 2007.

REGIONAL

Draft Regional Spatial Strategy
The Examination in Public Panel reports were released in Jan 2008. The panel recommend:

  • Increasing the overall net increase in dwellings between 2006-2026, to 20,300 for Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Falmouth, Penryn and Truro.
  • All larger building projects (10 or more dwellings) to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes between 2008-2010, Code level 5 between 2011-2015 and Level 6 by 2016 (if more than 50 dwellings).
  • An on-site renewables requirement of 20% of regulated emissions (20% of 2006 TER).

The Secretary of state is expected to publish her proposed changes to the draft RSS in Spring 2008. A 12-week public consultation will follow. The final RSS is due to be published in Autumn 2008.
