REGIONAL

Draft Regional Spatial Strategy
The Examination in Public Panel reports were released in Jan 2008. The panel recommend:

Increasing the overall net increase in dwellings between 2006-2026, to 20,300 for Camborne, Pool, Redruth, Falmouth, Penryn and Truro.
All larger building projects (10 or more dwellings) to meet Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes between 2008-2010, Code level 5 between 2011-2015 and Level 6 by 2016 (if more than 50 dwellings).
An on-site renewables requirement of 20% of regulated emissions (20% of 2006 TER).

The Secretary of state is expected to publish her proposed changes to the draft RSS in Spring 2008. A 12-week public consultation will follow. The final RSS is due to be published in Autumn 2008.
