Cornwall Sustainable Energy Partnership (CSEP) was created in November 2001 to form a partnership combining the expertise and knowledge of organisations within the public, private, health and community sectors. It now has a membership of over 72 organisations who have signed the 2004 Energy Strategy for Cornwall with the aim to ensure a sustainable future for Cornwall.
The Partnership is overseen by a Strategic Steering Group, which comprises of strategic level representatives from each of the following sectors:
The steering group agree the work of the Delivery and Process groups of the Partnership. Each of the Delivery and Process groups have clear aims, and the Delivery Groups will concentrate on specific projects. Renewable Energy and Domestic Energy Discussion Forums offer the opportunity to network and share information.

CSEP has also been actively involved in influencing local, regional, national and European policy, has provided a template for other major initiatives and is considered as best practice in Europe.
