Local Authority Members' Forum

Chair: Cllr Tim Jones, Restormel Borough Council

Formed in 2005, the Local Authority Members' Forum is an important vehicle for authorities across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to share ideas and best practice in sustainable energy and to drive forward the Energy Strategy for Cornwall in each authority.

Authorities represented on the Local Authority Members' Forum:

- Carrick District Council
- Cornwall County Council
- Kerrier District Council
- Council of the Isles of Scilly
- North Cornwall District Council
- Penwith District Council
- Restormel Borough Council

Terms of Reference of the Local Authority Members' Forum:

• To act as advocates for the development of Sustainable Energy within each council.
• To monitor the effectiveness of the strategy within each council.
• To lead in good practice across Cornwall through links with the public and private sector.
• To advise the CSEP Management on issues relevant to members roles and policymaking.
• To engage with and influence the Government, Europe and other organisations.
• To ensure that information is shared across the councils.
